Hellboy was rescued as a puppy from the largest suspected dogfighting ring that Michigan has ever seen in November 2021. Bark Nation assisted local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to remove 108 dogs, now known as 'The Great 108.' These dogs entered into Bark Nation's #PitnessProtection program, where they receive the love and care that they need to begin their #LifeAfterDogfighting.

Because he is still live evidence in a dogfighting investigation, we can't show you Hellboy's sweet face, but we assure you that he's about as cute and tiny as they come! Hellboy will soon undergo surgery to repair both of his knees; including aftercare, the expected cost exceeds $5000.

Bark Nation's mission is simple: to end canine cruelty and save lives. through enforcement, enrichment, and intervention, they strive to make this a more humane world for the dogs they serve.
