Ezi's fund was created in honor of Ezi, a shelter dog from Detroit Animal Care and Control who we lost far too soon in January 2022.
Ezi was the epitome of a "breed ambassador." Sweet, silly, and loving to all, she brought light to everyone that she met. Ezi is also a great example of a dog who simply needed the right home to thrive. She was returned to the shelter three times before she came home with Detezi's founder "just for the weekend." She was simply too perfect to ever return to a shelter environment again.
Through Ezi's Fund, Detezi makes emergency and in-kind donations to organizations across the country. This includes emergency vet bills, life-saving supplies for outreach dogs, and basic care supplies for under-resourced municipal shelters.
