Who is behind detezi?
Detezi was created in 2021 by Margo Butler, an animal welfare advocate who wanted a way to help those 'fighting the good fight' - people who work tirelessly every single day to improve the quality of life of companion animals and their people. After 12 years in animal welfare (including a variety of shelters and rescues, dog training and behavior, and participating in community outreach programs) and facing serious burnout, she made the decision to take a step back and offer support in a different way. In Detezi's first 18 months, we donated over $50,000 to a variety of organizations across the country.
How does detezi support animal rescue?
We create custom fundraising collections for animal-related organizations, including rescues, shelters, and outreach organizations, with a portion of the sales donated directly to the org. We work hard to make fundraising as easy as possible for benefitting organizations, allowing them to focus their energy on the animals in their care. Funds often go towards medical costs, food and other supplies, and special projects that directly benefit the community. In 2023, we introduced options for vetted organizations that have not yet received their 501(c)3 status to help with start-up costs.
What is Ezi's fund?
Ezi's Fund is our general fund used to support animal rescues and outreach organizations. These funds come from specific ongoing fundraising collections, profits from our permanent collection, and tips made at checkout. We typically use these funds for in-kind donations like dog houses for outreach groups, pet food for rescues, and enrichment toys for shelters. Occasionally, we use these funds to make direct monetary donations to organizations in need of emergency funds, such as shelters that take in a large number of dogs from a hoarding case or a rescue that takes in a dog with urgent medical needs.

We say yes as often as we can! We typically donate either gift cards or non-clothing items for raffles and auctions.

How long does it take for items to ship?
All items are made to order. When you place an order, our printer creates that product just for you. This typically takes about 2-3 days, but can take up to a week, especially during busy seasons. The printer then ships the item directly to you, typically via first class or priority mail.
Why did my order arrive in multiple packages?
Your order is sent to you directly from the printer. To offer the best quality products, we work with different printers for clothing than we do accessories, like tote bags and stickers. You will receive emails to the address provided at checkout with tracking information for each package.
Do you accept exchanges/returns?
Because all products are made to order, we do not accept exchanges or returns unless the product is damaged. If you receive a damaged item, please contact us via the form above with your order number or full name used at checkout.
