Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Who can host a fundraiser?
    Anyone who loves and supports an animal rescue or other organization can host a fundraiser! We find that people with pet-related social media accounts (such as Instagram or TikTok) or who frequently tell their pet's rescue story on their own social media are typically the most successful.
  2. How long do fundraisers last?
    Each fundraiser runs for two weeks.
  3. Does the organization have to be an animal rescue?
    While our program was initially designed to raise money for animal rescues, we love to support a variety 501(c)3 organizations. Organizations that do community outreach, support humans and human rights, or bring other good to the lives of others are welcome.
  4. Do I have to be a volunteer, employee, or board member of the organization?
    You do not need to be formally associated with the organization for whom you plan to raise funds. We do, however, strongly encourage you to reach out to the organization to introduce yourself and let them know why their mission is important to you. We'll check in with the organization as well to provide the full details of the fundraiser.

    If you are formally associated with the organization and plan to share the fundraiser through the organization's social media, please let us know! 
  5. What is my responsibility as the host?
    As the host, you're the "hype person" for the fundraiser! Over the two-week period, we ask that you share the fundraiser at least 3-5 times. The most successful fundraisers share at least every 2 days over multiple social media channels.

    To make sharing your fundraiser easy, we provide a marketing package that includes product photos and copy/paste text blurbs. We encourage you to get creative, too!
  6. How much money can I raise?
    The amount raised will vary based on how often and where you share your fundraiser, how big and engaged your audience is, and whether the organization for which you are raising money shares the fundraiser on their own social media pages.

    On average, fundraisers hosted by pet-fluencers raise around $200-300. Fundraising hosts who create at least 3-5 engaging posts throughout their campaign can raise much more than that. Our most successful host raised over $1800!
  7. How is my custom design created?
    Before we begin the design process, we'll ask you some basic questions about color and design preferences. In most cases, we can pull reference photos of your pet from your social media channel, but we may ask you for additional photos as well.

    We'll draft up 2-3 design ideas to send to you for feedback. We want you to be happy with your design and love to hear your ideas and opinions, so don't hesitate to share! Once you've selected a design, we'll work on creating a variety of available products.
  8. How much does fundraising cost?
    Nothing! There is no cost to the host or the organization.
  9. What percentage of sales is donated?
    20% of the total sale price (minus taxes + international shipping) is donated to the organization of your choice. Check out the list above to see how much is donated per each item.
