When humans are struggling, so do their pets. It is extremely difficult to care for your pets when you can barely feed yourself or are facing housing insecurity - but struggling doesn't mean that someone doesn't love their pet or doesn't deserve the love and companionship of their pet.

All too often, when loving families struggle, they surrender their pets to a shelter because they feel like they have no other option. This creates additional strain on a shelter system that is already overcrowded and underfunded.

Lexington Pet Panty actively prevents the surrender of beloved family pets by providing essential supplies to families in need of support. By providing supplies, they aren't only keeping pets in homes; they're building a sense of community that provides hope to people and pets in need.
